    5 speed conversion

What are the major changes that have to be made to install a T5 in a '92 5.0 w/ an AOD? Are there any basic conversion kits out there? Is it even worth the trouble?

    Re: 5 speed conversion

Basically, you'll need a pedal assembly, transmission harness, block plate, bell housing, flywheel, clutch, clutch cable & quadrant, clutch fork, tranny, crossmember, driveshaft, shifter, shifter boot & bezel, & all associated hardware.  AOD cars can be made to run just as fast as 5-speed cars & with much greater consistancy.  A stall converter & a shift kit along with a 3.73 or 4.10 rear gear go a long way in taking an AOD car from zero to hero.
