I have a 79 Mustang LX that I am wanting to put on a updated front clip, fenders, hood GRILL and BUMPER COVER.  Does anybody have information on what is the newest year that will fit without many problems?  Any help would be great!  Thanx 

The newest yeat that will bolt up without making haedlight wiring changes would be an 86 but you will have to change the side moldings, rear bumper cover, and hood as well.  If you don't want to change those the newest year would be 84.  Then you just have to change the front bumper cover and hood.

 Don't know if my last reply went through.  If it didn't here it is.  Thanx for the input.  I am currently working on my 79 LX and I am basically makeing a streetable drag car.  4-Link, wheel tubs, etc.  I would really like to put the 87-93 front end on it.  Will it work?  I'm not worried about wiring as I am installing a completely new painless wiring harness.  If it will work can you shoot me a list of what items I would have to purchase to install the new front clip.  I am also thinking about going fiberglass front end including a 4-5" cowl hood.  Thanx Again

The 87-93 Front end will work on your 79.  You will have to buy a new hood and headlamp reinforcement panel, for it to physically bolt on as well as the correct side moldings and fender spats and rear bumper for the body lines to match. That is the Beauty of the Fox Chassis. 90% of the parts interchange from 79-93.
