    90 GT Vert Project

Hi there, I recently got a 90 GT Vert that I liked and saw potential for me that decided to throw every bolt-on that I can think of.

The car has nearly 150 K on the clock and was completely stock down to the mufflers, it also had the styling bar ( which gives the car a great look! ) and the cervinis rear wing.

Since I had a bad overheating experience with a previous GT that I owned I immediately ordered the Flex-a-lite black magic electric fan and the 130 amp alternator from PA Perf. for charging purposes. Went in and installed super 44 flows with an O/R H-pipe. I got a cool set of Gun Metal 17x9 Cobra wheels on it too.

I got long tubes, an FRPP E-cam and 3.73 gears waiting in my garage, and also have FRPP 1.7 cobra rockers and timing chain that are on their way; unfortunately the Cobra Intake is on backorder and I can't wait for the email confirming the ship date.

All in all I want to get the most out of this setup that I'm putting together and want to see if you guys have any recommendation that you might wanna give me; the car won't see any track time I just want to have the response of it whenever I put my foot down :p

Do you think I need to get all of these things installed in one shot? ... Do I to tune the computer? ... What other mods other that force induction do you guys recommend for power.

     thanks!

If your keeping the engine stock upgrade to a cobra MAF (unless u already have it) sensor once you have re-mapped the ECU if it has aircon strip that out (you have a soft top use it =D ) and put an aircon eliminator bracket (it has a free wheel latemodel sell one) that should create less drag at the belt and give u a little better response when you put your foot down... ive made my own induction kit for better access to cold air... good luck!!

I thought of killin' the a/c but sometimes the heat down here where I live it's too much, you have to put the top and turn on the a/c !!!! ... I saw the break set on your pics, where did you get them, thinking' of upgrading the break system in the future for my project, probably putting rear disc's as well ... I got 17x9's with 20mm offset on my car and don't know what'll fit behind there.

ok well on the ac try and keep the wheel greased up at the joint if you can avoiding getting any on the runners or the belt itself...

i got 17x8 compomotive M06's on the front... their a motorsport wheel made custom here in the UK offset also 20 standard 4x108 stud pattern...

Brakes are from Baer... 6pot callipers, 13.5" disks fit perfectly and real snug in the wheel although i had to contact the wheel company and check out the dimensions on their computers and it fits perfectly no clearance issues...

id guess largest disk you can get is 13-13.5 but its best if you have a look at baer's products and get a template with the measurements for the disk, callipers etc and send it to the people that manufactured your wheels and ask them if it will have any clearance issues... i think with the cobra's allot of people go 12-12.5, i went 13 for cosmetic reasons and i wanted something that really stopped the car properly for once LOL!!
