    Ignition puzzle for you

Thought I'd puzzle you with an ignition prob.

A '94GT vert was brought to me and it would not start nor run, no promise no nothing, just cranks. The OBD scan shows no errors nor points no malfunctions.

There was fuel. Then I tested with another ignition module with no luck. Then dizzy was replaced and yes, it runs.

But it runs only on 6 cyls if the SPOUT is in (drops off cyls #3 and #7), and if I remove the SPOUT then it runs on 7 cyls (#3 and #7 are back, but #1 is off).

Tested: coil, wires, plugs, ignition module, dizzy (new), main harness was tested for critical ignition connetions up to the ECU, connectors checked and all shows up good. Base timing is now set at 10* with SPOUT off.

Next thing I'm trying is the ECU it self. Anybody got any other ideas?

Wow, that is a good one!  How are you determining which cylinders are dropping & when?  Are you using an oscilloscope?

    Thanks,

I'm using my timing light to see weather there goes a spark to the cylinder or not.
