    Tires and wheels

I am currently building a '92 Chevy short bed.  I want to install a 4/6 drop.  Considering 20" wheels.   Any recomendations on wheel and tire specs?  Back spacing, tire size, etc.....  Would 18" wheels be better?  This will be a daily driver.  Thanks for any help!

    Re: Tires and wheels

     I had the same truck, When it had a 4/6 I ran a 20x8 front and a 20x9.5 rear with a 255/35/20 and 275/35/20.

As far as the backspacing you would need a 5 to 5.25 to keep in tucked inside the fender.

Mine was my dailey driver also and I never wished that I bought 18''

Thanks for the reply!  The truck is for my son first time driver and we live in rural america fair roads. The 18 inch would have more side wall but the 20 inch would might look better. I may just flip a coin. Thanks again for the info.

Not a problem. I live in the country and the roads were pretty bad and didn't have any problems.

What kit are you looking at? On my last truck I did the DJM springs, lower control arms and flip kit.

Just let me know if you have any questions or problems eddy.davis@latemodlerestoration,com

I have had to many of these trucks, So I'll be glad to help if you need anything.
