    putting a c in

    ok i bought a 1990 mustang lx last october but it didnt have a heater core or any of the a c except for the compressor.  the compressor is there only because of the pulley.  I need to gather everything for the car and i have a list i just need to make sure i have it all

    evaporator core

    accumulator

    condenser

    compressor

    I was wondering what else will i need to complete this.  I know this will be alot of money

    you will need the lines also...

    you'd be better off getting this kit:

    that way you'd know you had all the parts you need.

    You need the high side and low side lines for the A/C, the orfice tube is located in the high side liquid line, which needs to be replaced.

     Don't for get the proper oil, and I would add a little oil with UV dye in it, so if you wind up with a leak you'll be able to find it easier.

    Also the system will need to be vacuumed down for at least 30 min, after pulling a vacuum for 2 min then doing a 5 min pause to see if there is a leak by watching the gauges, if not proceed with the 30 min vacuum to make sure all the moisture is boiled out of the system.

     Libricate all the O-rings with the proper system oil before making the connections.

     And never introduce liquid refrigerant into thwe system, liquid can not be compressed and will damage the compressor, voiding your warranty.
