At the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show, there was a special treat in store for car nuts. SCT revealed their in-development iTSX tuning device. Basically, the iTSX is a Bluetooth enabled dongle that plugs in to your vehicles OBD II port & syncs to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch via the App which will be available in the App Store. What does all this mean? Well, this means that you can use your iOS device to tune your 1996-2011 Mustang or 1999-2010 Silverado/Sierra Truck using the same pre-loaded tunes available in the SF3, Livewire, & TSX as well as custom tunes from the myriad of custom tuners in the market (like Latemodel Restoration by BBR 
). In addition to adding a performance tune, all the other cool features are available as well, such as DTC read & clear, data logging, & effortless return to stock. While it wasn't indicated, if the iTSX follows after big brother TSX, there will be a built in performance calculator as well!

As of this writing, SCT has no ETA for market availability or pricing information, & they are currently waiting App Store approval. However, they have left us drooling & waiting for more, so stay tuned!
