Ford Racing F150 Lightning Lowering Kit

Share |

The Ford F150 Lightning already comes lowered from the factory, but I felt my Lightning needed to come down just a little bit more. Ford Racing offers a 1" drop kit to provide a mild drop that will give you better handling, better looks, and doesn't affect your ability to tow.

The M3000L Drop Kit consists of front coil springs and rear drop shackles to drop your 1999,2000,2001,2002,2003, and 2004 Lightning.

Here is how the stance looked before the drop kit.

I want to lower my F150 lightning . and need to know what size wheel and tyre i can go to to get the fattest tyres under the rear . i want the tyre to be 315 or larger , i expect to be able to get a  10 +  off a 20 inch diameter but expect to be slimmer on the front .  currently i have 9 x 22 with 235 s  but there seems more space and a fatter tyre would look better .

I hope you could recommend a make and size (Sizes front and rear ) Chrome if poss

many thanks MW Uk .

@Michael - I don't have any personal experience running that large of a tire on a Lightning, but I've heard some have been able to run a 305 tire on the rear with no rubbing issues and I've also heard of some having bad rubbing issues. It all depends on the suspension setup. I'm running 295/45/18 tires on my truck.  For more info about running larger tires I would check out www.lightningrodder.com

@ Ed - The ride is a little bit stiffer, but overall I think it still rides great. I daily drive the truck and the ride isn't too harsh for some of the bad roads around here.
