Participants at our 10th anniversary celebration were having a great time running their cars.  The mid-70 degree weather and well-prepped Texas Motorplex facility lent to some quick times.  Many participants reported their "quickest times ever" at our event, and some even garnered trophies and prizes for their efforts.  We gave trophies for the quickest times by vehicle type, and quickest pass for the event.  There were trophies for quickest Ram, Ford F-series, Challenger, GM truck, Camaro, "other", and of course, quickest Mustang.  Finally, there was a gift certificate given for slowest full pass of the day.  Here are the results:  

Quickest Pass of the day - Robert R. / 8.75 ET - That 1971 Firebird had huge tires and a huge 601 big block Chevy motor to rocket it to the fastest time of the day. It was all business and got the job done when the light turned green!

Quickest Dodge Ram - Wade M. / 12.79 ET - Wade's red SRT-10 regular cab truck was impressive and put on a great show!

Quickest Ford F-series - Justin M. / 12.96 ET - Justin has been tuning on his 2004 F-150 for a while. The truck's supercharged 5.4L made its first pass in the 12's at our event, and it was enough to clinch the quickest F-series of the day!

Quickest Challenger - John B. / 12.65 ET - A 2009 Challenger is a lot of car to move that quickly, but John was up to the "challenge" in his 2009 R/T. Great driving!

Quickest Chevy Truck-Casey R. / 10.05 ET - Casey was a stunner in his turbocharged late model Silverado short bed!  Casey was also runner up in the dyno competition making over 800hp at the rear wheels!  Tech safety requirements kept this beast out of the 9's.

Quickest Camaro - Justin M. / 10.32 ET - We thought a new Camaro would take top honors, but Justin's 1970 Camaro just goes to show you can't beat classic muscle on the track!

Quickest "Alternate Class" - Ricky S.  / 8.76 ET - Ricky's Chevelle ran great all day.  Ricky was just 2 hundredths off the best pass of the weekend!  His 70 Chevelle SS looked great too!

Quickest Mustang - Danny R. / 9.94 ET - Danny's clean white 92 coupe put on a show all weekend, hanging the hoops on every pass!

We couldn't be complete without the slowest pass of the weekend. After looking at all of the time sheets from that track and factoring in what the vehicle should run, and eliminating the quicker vehicles that just happend to make a slower pass, it looks like Kevin K. with a 2004 GMC 4.8 had the slowest full pass at 16.78. With that honor he wins a $100 gift certificate to help make his truck a little faster!

Thanks to all of the participants in the show and the test 'n tune time. We had a great event and everyone kept their cars shiny side up to run another day. We had a great time watching everyone run down the track and were even suprised by a few runs.
