Well, first of all I want to thank Jody Gunter and his crew from Gunter Specialties for bringing the mobile Dyno up for people to see what kind of power their cars or trucks made. The first vehicle on the dyno was a red Shelby convertible that got everything kicked off nicely.
A few other cars made some pulls and then things got crazy. Not really sure on the details of his vehicle, but Casey Rance in his white turbo 2002 Chevy truck pulled 826hp! A record number for that particular dyno. Once he was unloaded, David Zabojnik in his twin turbo Dodge viper made an amazing pull of 918hp as bits of rubber were flying off the back of the dyno! Again another record for the dyno. It was my understanding that Casey was going to tune on his truck some more and come back to beat the viper but I never saw him try the dyno again.
Regardless, it was an great show of power from one likely source and one unlikely one. Thanks to everyone that participated on the dyno and great job David for winning the $200 Latemodel Restoration Supply gift certificate and the dyno challenge!
the white turbo checy truck was crazy! i wish i could've seen him run on the track.
it was FAST loved that truck!
Casey was trying to come back but by the time he got there, the dyno was closed and gone.
Thanks everyone... had a few troubles with the dyno logging My exhaust exits in front of the drivers side rear tire.. that was directly into the dyno text, computer and cables... I wasnt able to lock the converter But not to bad for a Rear Mount chevy truck went 10.05@135 Had a GREAT time Thanks Neil @ Car shop in Temple,tx for the invite and LRS for the track Day !!
