It's been a few days since we left the Texas Motorplex and I want to take a minute to thank everyone that was involved. It was a great event with lots of things going on behind the scenes, but everything was executed flawlessly thanks to everyone involved.
I want to start with our employees that made the trip. They were working hard all day making sure that every customer was taken care of. Our staff took pictures, took videos, sold T-shirts, blew up balloons, sold raffle tickets, parked cars, helped on the announcements, judged cars, and overall helped wherever needed. We have a top notch crew here at Latemodel Restoration Supply, and a big thank you goes out to our staff.
The crew at the Motorplex was also extremely helpful from Danny in Race Control, Ashley in event coordination, *** with the staff catering and Robert on the microphone doing the announcing. Also thanks to the folks at the entrance gates, tech, concession stands, Moose and the track crew, and the ambulance workers. Everyone with the Texas Motorplex were professional for the whole experience, from begining to end and made our 10th Anniversary run extremely smooth. Tony even lent the tools and shop space to change a tire on Scott's Fairmont. Thank you everyone at the Texas Motorplex!
It was an awesome show and time trials with so many diverse cars and trucks there. Many more Mustangs than any other vehicle were there showing their stuff. An unbelieveable low mileage fox, an ex highway patrol and plenty of Cobra's and Shelby's made the Mustang crowd very excited. Thanks to the loyal Chevy truck guys that made it up and that super clean first gen Lightning (did anyone buy that truck? It was for sale!) I can't forget the Challengers that were there from classic black and red to the beautiful B5 blue. And where did all of those SRT-8 Jeeps come from? Whoa, watch out for those things on the street! Camaros were there too, from the several 2010 SS's to the 4th gen's screaming down the track. A few mini trucks were there, a few classics were there (that '62 Impala SS was nice) and the Ford Granada with the LS motor on the spray, a true sleeper! Thanks to everyone no matter what you drove or if you show or go, we truly appreciate you bringing you car or truck out and surrounding yourself with others that enjoy the hobby just as much, if not more, than you do. Your participation made this a truly special event on our 10th Anniversary.
