10th Anniversary Schedule of events and raffle update

Share |

We are getting close to the Latemodel Restoration Supply 10th Anniversary event at the Texas Motorplex. It looks like we are going to have a great time and I wanted to publish a schedule of events as some have been asking as well as update some details about the raffle.

Schedule of events for Saturday the 14th

8:00-gates open for attendees and spectators

9:00-Tech can begin for racers

10:00-Track time begins for cars that have gone through tech

11:00-Judging cars for show begins

3:00 Show Judging ends

4:00-"Pass-Time" game show for 4 lucky show participants, Trophies and final Raffle prizes including the 1993 SVT Cobra and Ford Racing Crate Motor!

5:00-Event is officially concluded and everyone heads home. Thanks for participating!!!

We can't wait to give our 1993 Cobra away to a winning raffle ticket holder! There will still be some tickets to be had at the event for $25 on a first come first serve basis, so get there early. You will also be able to place orders at the track via the internet and recieve 1 raffle ticket for every $250 in parts bought, again, while the raffle tickets last. When the raffle tickets are gone, that is it. We only had 1000 to sell, so your odds are still really good to win big!

We will be drawing, calling out and tweeting/posting online, winning raffle tickets throughout the day, but don't worry, since we know that everyone that bought a ticket really wants to win the 1993 Cobra, we will add all previous winning prize names back into the hopper for the Cobra and Ford Racing motor. If you win the Cobra your name will not be added back to the hopper for the Ford Racing Crate motor. That's fair, right?

I hope to see everyone there, we are looking forward to a great event thanks to all of our great customers!

The track has told me they like to open tech 1 hour before track time starts. It may be possible to hit the track after you complete tech, but for now the official stance is 10:00.

Just curious, are you guys going to judge the show/race cars first so we can get a little more track time in? Really dont want to sit around from 11 to 3 without making a pass.

Thanks.....

Hopefully, I can answer all your questions at once here. If you register for race only you can have a support vehicle parked with the car you are racing. If you are registering for show and race to avoid confusion we are not going to allow support vehicles in the show area. We are designating an area close by for the support vehicles of folks that are showing and racing. Also for you folks showing and racing we want you to get your race time in so we will make sure we get your car judged at some point between the designated time. You can register the day of the event. The gates open at 8:00 am we hope to see you there!!!!

Can you explain the judging for the show?  Please do not allow participants to be judges as most will vote for their own cars or cars from their respected Clubs/Organizations.   Hopefully you will have a dedicated team for this.  Thank you.

We have dedicated team of our employees that are both car/truck enthusiasts and some that are not. Each member will judge each car following a checklist of criteria and give each section a score. Then the totals will be added up for the final score.

so if I'm there around 8:30am, I can still register my car to be in the show? I just want to do it for fun. Just rebuilt my motor and want to show it for the heck of it. :)

Any Exabition cars going to be on hand? Are there going to be things for kids to do?  We plan on coming out to check it out...now show/race this time.

As far as exibition cars, we do not have any Top fuel cars or jet cars or any thing like that. There will be some sub-9 second cars making some passes. We do not have anything set aside for the kids, so we would love to have you come out, the weather will be great, but bringing your kids is your own call. We are going to be having our own version of the TV show Pass-Time with four lucky registrants guessing times on employees cars around 4:00 along with the raffle of the 1993 Cobra.

i asked on the other page, but i figured i'd put it here also. if we bought a race only packet and end up not being able to race, are we able to exchange that packet for a raffle ticket? they're the same price and i'd just hate to let it go to waste and not be able to have a better chance in the raffling process
