2010 Camaro R/S or S/S Billet Bowtie Emblem Kit

Share |

Ok, new 2010 Camaro owners, here's one new way to easily customize your new 2010 Camaro and give it killer looks in the process. The Chevrolet factory classic "gold 'n chrome" bowtie scheme on the front grille and rear trunk lid do a good job showcasing the Chevrolet nameplate, but falls short in the aesthetics department. Ditch your OE plastic 2010 Camaro bowtie emblems for these high quality billet aluminum bowtie emblems. The 2010 Camaro Billet Bowtie Kit features a new high quality polished billet bowtie grille emblem, and rear trunk lid emblem for your 2010 Camaro RS or SS, all necessary attaching hardware, and instructions. Both pieces are an easy install and instantly add a sleeker look to the front and rear of your 2010 Camaro that looks factory! If you don't like polished Billet aluminum you can also get them in a high quality, show winning chrome finish. Did we mention they are both OFFICIALLY LICENSED by GM! Don't be fooled by imitators!

2010 Camaro Billet Bowtie - Front Grille Install

First off, pop your Camaro hood and remove the (6) push pins and (4) 10mm bolts holding the metal radiator shroud in place.

Next, carefully slide the metal shroud out and over the hood latch and remove it from the engine bay.

Now, feel behind the Camaro grille and pop the (4) tabs out (2 horizontal and 2 vertical) holding the factory grille emblem in place. You may use a flash light to see which direction the tabs will need to be pushed. Begin pulling on it from the front and it should loosen and eventually pop out. Note: It may help to have a second person pulling on the emblem while you loosen the tabs.

Now with the supplied hardware, screw the studs into the backof the new 2010 Camaro billet grille emblem firmly. Line up the emblem and position it on the grille. Now use the supplied 3/8" lock nuts and tighten the new emblem down firmly (Do not overtighten as it could crack the factory plastic grille or pull the threads from the billet bowtie.)

Replace the metal radiator shroud and then stand back, and enjoy your new and improved smile on the front of your 2010 Camaro R/S or SS! This is what the new Camaro should have came with from the factory!

Now on to the rear billet bowtie emblem....

2010 Camaro Billet Bowtie - Rear Trunk Lid Install

Mark off your new Camaro trunk lid with masking tape where the factory emblem is located. This will help to make sure your 2010 Camaro billet bowtie trunk lid emblem is properly aligned.

Using a heat gun or hair dryer, heat up the emblem area to loosen the double sided tape and then use a small piece of fishing line or dental floss to help seperate the emblem from the body. Begin pulling the emblem away from the trunk panel until the guide pins are free and then pull the emblem off the trunk lid.

Now use a non-corosive style adhesive remover to remove the remaining residue and double sided tape from the body. Try our Quick & Easy Adhesive Remover!

Then simply remove the backing from the double sided tape on the new 2010 Camaro Billet Bowtie Trunk Emblem, align it with the masked off area of the factory emblem, place it on the body and press it firmly against the body to ensure a good adhesion to the trunk surface. You're done!

Awesome. I'm going to order this very soon for my Camaro when it is delivered. This beats the hell out of the stickers people are using.

I like a lot this blue variant. See that on topspeed.com, :) I also like the cool retro interior of this 2010 Chevrolet Camaro RS, which otherwise is very fast :) I would like to test and buy one.

I installed mine, really like them. I would suggest that you put some kind of arrow to show which end is up. I put the front bowties on according to the writing on the back and that ended up bein upside down. I'm pretty sure the back is on correctly.

the Front Bowtie was so hard to get off, I gave up on it.   I ended up taking a drill to the gold emblem and then cleaning the surface.  Sticking on the new Bowties.   My Black bowties look amazing on my Black Camaro.
