2010 Mustang test drive carnage...

Share |

PLEASE be careful out there, you just never know when you could end up being on the receiveing end of these losers. Maybe it was mechanical failure but I highly doubt it. I cannot believe that these guys walked away and ruined a great Mustang. At least it wasn't a Shelby. One of the worst Mustang wreck/wrecks that I have seen that allegedly no one was hurt. Idiots....

Courtesy of Jalopnik and Mustangblog...

Three 19-year-olds managed to convinced someone to give them the keys to a 2010 Ford Mustang GT, and being teenagers, completely destroyed it after the driver lost control. Amazingly, they all walked away.

The story is unconfirmed, but the way it goes is three 19-year-olds somehow got the keys to a 2010 Mustang GT for a test drive and commenced to drive it like Road & Track they stole it, leading to the inevitable loss of control and complete demolition of the car. The crash was violent enough to destroy every bit of front-end body work, crinkle the main cabin structure and tear the front suspension off. OFF. None of the kids were wearing seat belts of course, and one was ejected from the vehicle in the crash, but unbelievably they all walked away with scratches and bruises. Everything in the story is believable, though stupid up until that last part about no serious injuries. If it's true, these are some very lucky idiots. [MustangBlog]

That's just crazy! The car salesman must have been just as big of a moron as the drivers. Heck I'm 28 go with with my wife and daughter and they still want to ride with us.

Obviously, these kids have underestimated the power of a muscle car. Idiots!!! I wonder how much their insurance rate increased?

Hmmmmm I read the link on Mustang Blog and grabs this, which makes the statement above questionable:
Sometime during the test drive the driver crashed the brand new Mustang GT with one of the occupants being ejected from the car.
i used to sell new/used cars. best 2 avoid being w/ potential customer on test drive, almost involved in a major crash while on roadtest w/ minivan. forget about any roadtest involving a performance car.

Those punktards should be in jail, at least the driver.

I was 19 at one time and drove faster than now, but I never tried 100 on a 40mph road.
