Im at a toss up between these on the repros you also sell.

Am I wrong in assuming that the quality on the repro molding is better than the originals?

Rob V - Id say that the quality of the molding on both is equally comparable based on look & feel.  Because the repros are relatively new, there is no way I could say whether or not it will be more or less durable than OE.

Are these in a limited supply only, or are they going to be around for a while?

We have a large quantity that should last for a while, however sales have taken off thus far & if they continue to climb we may go through them much quicker than anticipated.

Are the rubber moldings on the new carlite quarter windows of a better quality than that of the originals?   Or in a few years will I be looking at the same nasty rubber moldings?

Curtis - to my knowledge the Carlite windows are the exact same as the production pieces with no variances or improvements.  Keep in mind that with proper maintenance, rubber trim will last for 8-10 years before showing any extreme signs of wear.  Without care, it will take significantly less time for the crusties to show up.

i would buy some for $55.99, $69.99 is way too much for them

i found some used one for $10, but if i need anything else ill come here and get it bc your prices are good.

Any idea where i can get just the freaking moldings? my windows are fine and i cant see paying almost $700.00 bucks just for rubber moldings. and no i dont want the covers i want the whole molding.

Sean - Unfortunately the rubber is bonded to the window glass & therefore is not available by itself, only as the assembly.

Is there no option for the repro windows for the Coupe?  I've just looked and it looks as though you only have the OEM windows for the coupe, and the repro is only available for the hatchback.  Is this true?

Ryan - That is correct.  Only OEM is available for the coupe as of right now.  I'm sure we'll see a repop version in the future, but no telling when.

I bought the new Carlite windows a few months ago from Resto Spply.  They do look great. Can you please tell me what to use to protect them so they last a while?

max eatman - Auto Tech Trim Re-Nu is anexcellent product for cleaning & protecting exterior rubber & plastic trim, such as the Mustang Quarter Window Rubber.  www.latemodelrestoration.com/.../AT-01008  It contains a UV blocker that helps extend the life of your exterior trim!
