After about 5,500 miles of debating I decided to order a lift for my '08 F150. There are so many companies that make lift kits for these trucks that I went back and forth on which kit would best fit my needs. At this time the best price would help make my decision. You can get a Procomp kit for around $1,700 or a Fabtech for around the same price.
We started carrying products from Rough Country Suspension so I started looking into their kits. There aren't a lot of trucks with this kit that I could find but the price was $1399.99 for a complete kit. Once the kit arrived I unboxed it right away to make sure that everything was there so I would not run into missing parts when I was ready to start the install. The kit looks great! It really looks like Rough Country took their time in making this kit; I'm not saying there is anything bad with a procomp kit, but the way that rough country designed the front cross member looks so much better than other kits that I have looked at.
When I got off work Friday I wanted to get some of the front taken apart so it would be a little less stress on Saturday. It ended up taking all weekend! But it I'm sure it could be done in one full day if you have a couple extra set of hands. I was by myself most of the time :(
