After a hard fought race at the Gator-O-Rama 24 Hours of LeMons in Houston, the 50Resto/Latemodel Restoration Supply sponsored #0 Foruma M (Mullet Mustang) race team came away with the checkered flag! This marks the first time that a Mustang has won the race.
Here is the response from David Schwarze and the Formula-M team:
"I just wanted to write in to thank Late Model Restoration once again
for their unwavering support of our team, Formula-M (for Mullet).
Thanks to the tireless dedication of our drivers and our strong
relationship with Late Model Resto, we managed to take the checkered
flag at the 24 Hours of LeMons Houston Gator-O-Rama event three weeks
ago. We are proud to have been the first American V-8 car to win at
LeMons and even more proud to be in a Fox-3 Mustang. We had a great
time and hope everyone else did also."
In true Texas style, the team ended up donating their $1500 worth of winnings to the mechanic of another team who was badly injured during the event. Check out more coverage and race photos from the event.
