Share |

When Ford released the info and pcitures of the 2010 Mustang you knew it was only a matter of time before the aftermarket companies started adding their own personal touches to the car.  One of the leaders in this industry is ROUSH performance.   They have worked hand in hand with Ford in the past to provide quality performance and styling products for numerous vehicles that Ford offers.  When Ford makes changes to a vehicle, ROUSH is right there to carry on their tradition of  being among the first to take things to the next level.

The 2010 ROUSH 427R was revealed to the public March 18th at their Michigan assembly plant. Both coupe and convertible versions rolled out to great the press and public eye for the first time.

NEW!!  CHECK OUT OUR BLOG ON TEST DRIVING THE NEW 2010 ROUSH 427R! PICS & VIDEO!

Exterior modifications include Traditiononal stripe package, New Front Fascia and Front Splitter, Rear Fascia, Side splitters, and a 3 piece rear wing. The 427R with come standard with 18" wheels while optional 20" versions are available as well.

Power will come from a ROUSHcharged 4.6 Liter 3 Valve engine. Subtle underhood changes have been made to the air inlet tube, and radiator hoses to achieve a cleaner overal look for the engine bay.  The Intercooler is a larger unit that has been designed to give the car more ground clearance than previous models. With that larger intercooler also comes a larger reservior that holds twice the volume as it's predicessors did. Engineers drove thousands of miles and spent countless hours developing new suspension components giving you the best blend of performance and ride comfort. In doing so they claim this is the best suspension package they've come up with yet for the Mustang. I like the car, but I think the front bumper makes the car look too much like a 2010 camaro IMO.

I think the new Roush looks excellent.  Also I think the new Camaro challenged Ford to round off the outer panel edges.  It surely did affect the thinking into how the car's outer panels were changed and improved from 2009.  (I've heard that only the roof is the same outer styling as seen in the'09 Mustang coupes.)

About SCOTTY2THAG

My dad always worked on Airplanes and cars while I grew up and I was right there perched under the hood throughout my childhood so naturally being a car nut is engrained into who I am. I have a tendency to take on projects normal people would not attempt like swapping motors into cars they werent intended to go in or fabricating parts I need instead of buying them. It is a sickness and luckily for me there is no cure.
