Will the 17"X9" wheels fit a Fox body if I install your 5 Lug conversion kit?

February 3, 2009 7:50 PM

@Sean - The SVE wheels will not work with the front brakes that come with the 5-lug conversion kit. You must have '94-up style front brakes for the wheels to fit.

I'd like to get a Bronze or Anthracite set with the tires mounted & lug combo. Is there anyway I can get a 255 front tire instead of the 275?

February 5, 2009 1:14 AM

edavis said:

STREETFIGHTER50- You can go with a 255/40/17 but with that wheel being a 17x9 the 275/40/17 looks perfect. The 255/40/17 might look a little skinny.

yes i want to know wat type of tire come with the package for 899.99

and can we upgrade the tire ?

February 8, 2009 9:37 PM

edavis said:

daniel navarro -The kit comes with Sumitomo HTRZ with 275/40/17'' front and 315/35/17 rear. As far as an upgrade the only other tire that we would have in a matching set would be the nitto NT555. It would be 208.00 extra and that's would be a drag radial's in the rear.

edavis said:

Tstang- We don't have any pictures of them on a fox body car yet. As far as the rears with 315's can be done I know that you would have to remove the rear quad shock and do some inner fender modifications "large hammer".

As far as I know there aren't any plans for a 17x8 yet. But we are still gathering information.

AND DO YOU HAVE A PIC OF THEM ON A 96-98 COBRA ?

It would be a extra 208.00, So that would make it 1107.99 plus the 14.99 shipping.

I would like to see those on a 91 notch back...are they making them in 4 lug and any narrower so you dont have to remove the quad?..im also afraid it may appear to extend too outward..I see its common on the notch back because is has no skirts to fill in the rims with the car....

    Ps...in chrome?

February 26, 2009 12:35 PM

nate said:

@Tommy - jmac's car is a fox coupe, but be called in sick today so it looks like we'll have to do it tomorrow.

We are looking into having 4-lugs made but no definite plans yet.

If you put the 9 inchers on the rear you shouldn't have to remove the quad shock, you may have to flip it but it should work depending on what size tire you use.

You will have to decide for yourself if they stick out too far once I post the pictures of Jonathan's car.

We should be receiving the chrome wheels on our next shipment in the next week or two, hopefully.

I have a 89' notch w/ a saleen kit and maximum motorsports bilstein coilovers all around, will there be a problem w/ the 10.5 in the rear? Also, if I decide to go w/ the 9's all around, are the lips of the rear wider than the front or are they same? How wide are the lips on 9's and 10.5's?

One more thing, w/ the 10.5 in the rear, is the rim flush with the fender lip or does it come out? Maybe a pic from above and close to the sides will help? (Great pics of the 93!!!)

Thank You.

jmk- They will not fit with our standard 5 lug conversion kit. On our standard kit still uses an outer bearing and the dust cap. With that it will pop the center cap out. You can use our rear kit, and we offer the used spindle and hub assembly part number LRS-3105APR.

Front offset is 24mm

Rear offset is 27mm

jose angel, the rear end is a stock length fox rear.  The 10.5" with a 315/35/17 will fit with the following modifications:

roll outer fender lip

take a hammer & clearance the inner fender well

remove your quad shocks

You may also have to adjust your exhaust to gain clearance between the tailpipe & the tire.

These wheels look great!!!  I got a 91 hatch with a upr k-member, upr coil-over kit and sn95 spindles up front and stock length axles in the rear. Will a 275/40 fit the front of a fox with no trouble? I know they say the 315's will fit the rear with a big hammer and removing the quad shocks. Does removing the quads effect driving the car? Thanks

will i have clearance issues on my 93 GT. It has a 1" drop and i wanted to know if i was going to be able to fit the 10.5 in the back.

what tire size would you recommend?

May 12, 2009 4:13 AM

SCOTTY2THAG said:

Tony: Depending on how much your car has been lowered you should be able to put the 275/40's on the front.  Each car wil be a little different from the other in this area.  It will help that you have coil overs and are able to adjust ride height so they will clear. Removing quad shocks won't effect the the function of the car. They were origionally designed to help with traction/wheel hop issues with the mustangs "didn't help much" but the better way to solve this is to do away with them and put a set of aftermarket control arms on it to stiffen things up back there.

Angel: You should'nt have a problem with the wheel and tire combo on your car.  To make the 10.5 fit on the back you will more than likely have to massage the inner fender with a hammer like tony stated above as well as rol the rear fender lip so they wont cut into the tire when you hit a bump.

I have a 93 Coupe with larger 13" Cobra brake 5 lug upgrade and want to put the SVE 17x9's in front and 18x10's on the rear. My question is what offset patter do I choose for fit with no rub? FYI: Quad shocks have already been removed.

April 24, 2010 7:51 PM

SCOTTY2THAG said:

Simone:

You would need to get the same offset that is for the 94-04 cars which would be the 24mm Up Front for the 17x9 and a 22mm in the rear for the 18x10. In the front you will need to run the steering rack limiters that we offer and the rear you will have to roll the rear fender lip.
