Well, I finally got the job done! I got
a set of 4.10 gears installed. Went out to a local track this last
weekend. After multiple runs and getting use to the new gears I
finally got my 12 second pass in my car. After letting the car sit
for about 45 minutes, it went 12.87... down side....I didn't drive it
on the run. I let my younger brother drive and sure enough he runs a
12 sec pass his first run. Needless to say I quickly followed it up
with a 12.92 run.
This new body style car is solid and
makes good power easily. We never did get a LRS Challenger run vs. Me
and I didn't get any video or pictures this time. This was mainly due
to the fact that I continually ran the car all night.... I guess I
was a little race deprived.

Again, here is a list of what is done
to the car to this point:
-
JLT intake $189.95
-
SCT X3 $379.95
-
Ford Racing 4.10 Gears Kit
$259.95
-
BMR lower Control Arms $134.95
Those parts come in under $1,000 for a
easy 12 sec car!!! If anyone wants to know a good performance kit for
their 05-09 Mustang this would be my suggestion. These parts lay
down a great foundation for all future modifications.
I guess now that I reached my goal, I
need to set a new one. I also need to add some new performance mods
to the car. So all you Mustang guys, let me get some suggestions on
new goals I should set for my car. Mods I am looking at adding in the
near future: wheels, exhaust and few more suspension mods.
