Challenger Dyno via iPhone

Share |

This morning Jonathan installed a Diablosport tune on our Challenger. I was out there snapping a few pics of him doing the install and when we were done he said "Alright, let's take her for a test drive!"

That's when a light bulb went off in my head! I remembered how Jeff Jimenez blogged about dyno'ing his car with his iPhone so I ran in to ask him if he had his phone on him. He did, and after setting up a new vehicle profile for the Challenger on the Dynolicios app with the car's weight, I was out the door.

The Challenger has most of the features of the Dynolicious app installed from the factory, so it was fun to see results from the two devices. The iPhone said we did 13:63 @ 103.4 mph. While the Challenger said we did 13:95, which is what you can hear Jonathan say when we complete the run. He will give more details about the tune, but he said the car definitely had more pep once it was installed.

All in all, I'd say for $12.99 the Dynolicios app is worth its weight in gold!

My name is Nathan and I am a C# developer by trade. My favorite movies are A Clockwork Orange and Fight Club, my favorite TV shows are Arrested Development and The Office. I also enjoy motocross and supercross. I am happily married and have two little girls. I became an auto enthusiast at age 16 when I purchased a 1988 GMC C1500 long bed, it was two-tone blue and ugly as sin. But it had a 350 and I flogged on it regularly. It's been all down hill from there. My current project is an 89 Chevy C1500 short bed.
