My 2004 GMC Sierra Daily Driver

Share |

So a new adventure starts for me. After the recent sale of my 1999 ¾ ton crew cab Chevy and 1967 ½ ton Chevy, I will start on a new project.

I have purchased a 2004 ½ ton crew cab GMC 2 wheel drive. This is going to be my daily driver so I can't get to wild. My plans include all of the normal modifications such as a weld on roll pan, tailgate flip kit, billet grille, and removing all the emblems and trim. I do have some plans for the factory plastic bed caps that should make them not as much of an eye sore. I will also paint match the door handles and have chrome trim airbrushed on the sides and tailgate.

As far as the suspension have already installed the 4/6 drop and 22 inch Bonspeed wheels. I will also upgrade the brakes with an SSBC brake kit.

As for performance the only things I plan on is a cold air kit, programmer, and muffler. The interior will be stock for now, but I do have plans for it just not sure what.

Here are the part numbers for the drop and brake kit.
Belltech 2" Drop Spindle - BEL-2508
DJM 2" Drop Springs - DJM-CS25992
DJM 6" Flip Kit -
DJM-FK25996X
DJM Front Shocks -
DJM-1415
DJM Left Rear Shock -
DJM-1800
DJM Right Rear Shock -
DJM-1900
SSBC Brake Kit -
SS-A12642

The roll pan and box, handle kit and grille.
Sir Michaels License Plate Box -
SM-120150
Sir Michaels Roll Pan -
CTP-17835AB
Empire Motor Sports Tailgate Handle Relocation Kit -
CTP-45440D
Precisions Grilles Polished Billet Grille Insert
- EMP-802295

The cold air kit, programmer and muffler.

Here are a couple pictures of the truck after the drop and wheels. Let me know what you think!

The wheels are 22x8.5 with 5 1/2 inch back spacing in the front and 22x10 with 6 3/4 back spacing in the rear. I am running 265/35/22 in the front and 295/35/22 in the rear. You might have to roll the fenders to get a little more clearance. Hope this has helped. If you have anymore question fell free to email me at mike.cotter@latemodelrestoration.com
