Just like the old days?????

Just like the old days! Not so much the same anymore! Fox Coupes are a hot ticket where as the old Classic Coupe ( 1965-73 )  not so desirable as the fastbacks and convertibles from their respective time period. Strange how things work out. The Fox Coupes seem to bring the money, next is the Hatch, and then the Convertible. I personally have never been a real fan of convertibles, yet growing up, if you had a convertible, you where living the good life ( assuming it wasn't a LeBeron ). Fox Coupes are getting harder to find by the day. We have seen the 2.3L Coupes converted to 5.0L calling for the good money. Is it REALLY going to make a difference in the future whether you have a converted car or the real thing??? Has that affected the prices of the Classics???

Seems like most Fox convertibles are falling to pieces. Everytime I ride in one I fear for my safety! ROFL

I'm a Firm believer that it won't matter if a car has been converted or not. It may play a small factor now but I think it will soon be irrelevant. It will depend on how well the conversion was done.  Just look at the 67-69 Camaros. There are SS 396 Clones that have all the right options going for an origional that is an off color or not as optioned as one would like.  All the cars started life the same. the only difference is which lane they went down on the assembly plant. When looking for a car to build I personally look for 4 cylinder cars for 2 sole reasons.  They are a little more economical and they "normally" have not seen the abuse that the V8 cars have been subjected to for most of their existance. Too each their own I guess.  Just some thoughts from the mind of Scotty G

I have owned 5 fox mustangs including the 2 I have now.  One is a 93 lx 4 cylinder hatch that is my daily driver and the other is a 91 gt convertible that is my playtoy.  I never was big into convertibles until I got the 91 and truth be told it kinda fell into my lap, I wasn't looking for a convertible but I wouldn't trade it for the world now.  There is something about blasting down a country road on a nice spring day with the top down that is intoxicating.  The upkeep and parts are alittle more expensive but I've had more fun cruising the vert the any of the other mustangs that I have had.
