What's your worst Auto purchase?

Have you ever sold just about everything you own just to get that superfly car or truck you've always been dreaming of?  Well... I did!  Listen up because this is going to be the lesson for the month.  I was sitting pretty with a brand new 2004 ext cab FX4 F150 fully loaded with leather and a 98 Z28 camaro.. You know, the best of both worlds..  Having a truck AND a car had to be something I thought I would never have at the same time in my whole life.  I was blessed with reasonable payments on both the truck and the car.  Then it happened!  I seen a Dodge SRT10 commercial and was AMAZED!

I knew from then I would trade my first born for that truck..Not really but close to it..  Have you ever made a stupid decision and know it?!?  As you can probably already tell what's going to happen here.. Yes, I traded a 3 month old F150 and camaro for this monster of a truck.. The title on this truck should of said that I was financing a HOUSE because that's what it was like buying.  I went from spending $600.00 for two vehicles to spending a GRAND a month on this truck.  This truck had it all, so I thought!  Not many people can say that they have tried to afford gas for a V10 engine.. Those who can't are really freakin lucky...  Long story short but after a year of owning this truck I had to let it go back to the dealer because I just couldn't afford cigarettes and gas anymore..:0) I want you to share some of your worst auto purchasing experiences with me.. Maybe their not really bad purchases as much as it is bad timing.. Share them with me!

In 2000 I bought my first new car since 1980. It was a VW Jetta Diesel, auto, black. I saw the ad on TV and really liked the looks. It ran well. I broke it in good and it was fast and excellent MPG. It rode nice, handled well and was comfortable. I am 6'2". I sold it at 30,000 miles. Nothing but electrical problems!  A new wiring harness for $900...after warranty, of course. Plastic parts that broke without hardly even touching them. I was used to a Honda before and it was very reliable and trouble-free. I purchased a 2002 PT Cruiser and it now has 90,000 miles and I am very pleased with it. I guess it doesn't matter how nice it looks...if it keeps breaking and is not reliable....Mike

I bought a Brand New......wait for it......2001 Daewoo Leganza, yep I said it DAEWOO!  I work in Radio and was doing a live appearance at a dealership and I really needed a car.  The guys offered me a great deal so I took it.  A few months Later Daewoo is Bankrupt and I am stuck with a worthless POS.  I traded it in and was 8000 bucks upside down.  I now have a stage 3 Roush vert and I am still paying off the daewoo everytime I make a payment on my hotrod!

Last year I bought a 2003 Land Rover Freelander.  It was still under warranty when I bought it - THANK GOD!  It was in the shop 6 times in the 5 months we owned it.  Electrical problems, over heating, door locks, window motors - just to name a few.  Traded it in for a $5000 loss.  A standard brake job is $600.  An oil change, $140.  First and last Land Rover!

Last year I bought a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee for my Daughter. After driving 5 hours to see it,a quick road test and check the fluid. Off we go another 5 hrs home.

Only 2 hrs, stop for a rest. When starting the truck the oil press light came on. 5 psi at idle?. Off idle 30 psi.

We made it home,Next day went to a dealer who said it would need new motor 5k,The last owner said that never happened to him?. Last time I buy a high price used car.
