Last year after selling my wife's Mustang we decided to go car shopping. She drove a crew cab Silverado and seemed to liked it. She also drove the 2007 Mustang and that's what she wanted to buy. But they wouldn't make her the deal that she wanted..... So she did end up getting the truck after all because the price was right.
About a year and 8,000 miles later she decided that she wanted another car. So back to the dealer we go. Now I know that you hate dealing with a car dealer just as much as I do! They are always thinking of a way to get you some how. Not saying all car salesmen are, but they are out there. The funny thing is that the first place that we went to they thought they had the best deal out there and that we were not going to get any better deal any were. They said they were not making any money off the deal. Don't ever settle with that. We ended up over 2 grand more in just trade in and about another thousand off the car just by going up the road to the big city.
So just write down the numbers that you want for your trade and what you will pay for the vehicle of your choice and don't budge. You will find a dealer that will work for you. Don't just settle get what you want.
I hope this is helpful.
I guess if you work for a company that sells Mustang parts and Chevrolet you have to have one of each.
