New Car Headache!

Last year after selling my wife's Mustang we decided to go car shopping. She drove a crew cab Silverado and seemed to liked it. She also drove the 2007 Mustang and that's what she wanted to buy. But they wouldn't make her the deal that she wanted..... So she did end up getting the truck after all because the price was right.

About a year and 8,000 miles later she decided that she wanted another car. So back to the dealer we go. Now I know that you hate dealing with a car dealer just as much as I do! They are always thinking of a way to get you some how. Not saying all car salesmen are, but they are out there.  The funny thing is that the first place that we went to they thought they had the best deal out there and that we were not going to get any better deal any were. They said they were not making any money off the deal. Don't ever settle with that. We ended up over 2 grand more in just trade in and about another thousand off the car just by going up the road to the big city.

So just write down the numbers that you want for your trade and what you will pay for the vehicle of your choice and don't budge. You will find a dealer that will work for you. Don't just settle get what you want.

I hope this is helpful.

I guess if you work for a company that sells Mustang parts and Chevrolet you have to have one of each.

This is so true. I have bought many cars in the past and after somewhat eating a little bit of my words about by cars I recently bought a vehicle. It was not brand new! I ended up buying a slightly experianced model as (Dave Ramsey) would say. My wife and I did alot more research than usual. We then came up with a price we were willing to pay for a car and looked around in that price range. We come up with a couple cars we might would like to own an looked on line. We then went looking. One of the places we looked had a car we like but thought it was too much! We just happened to go by the lot to look at another car of intrest. Just for kick I asked how much they wanted for the car and the price was $2,000.00 less than what they had listed online. We ended up buying the car and got it for about $4,000.00 less than what they were asking. I owe it to the inexperianced new sales person they had.
